Seal of the Dragon

“Seal of the Dragon” black and white scrimshaw on large sperm whale’s tooth by David Pudelwitts. The powerful dragon appears to be guarding his mountain retreat, searching for intruders. The crest of the dragon family appears on the tip of the tooth. This is from the collection of one of our clients who is no longer with us, probably done in the 70s. The artist is no longer creating scrimshaw, making this even more collectible. Heavy tooth (14.6 oz.) in excellent condition.
