Flying Cloud at Sea

Black and white scrimshaw on whale’s tooth by Matt Stothart. Aptly named, Flying Cloud, is depicted on the open sea. This is from the collection of someone who is no longer with us. This was done for the Hawaii market years and years ago by Matt Stothart. Rare to see his work at this price today on whale ivory. Nicely done, indeed.
