Ellery Knight Lion Knife

“Ellery Knight Lion Knife” color scrimshaw on ancient mammoth tusk ivory by the late Ellery Knight. Knife created by Old Joe Blade, Port Townsend, Wa. in the mid 1970s. Knight did the incredible scrimshaw for us in the early 80s. Ellery used the natural tones of the ivory contrasting with his stipple scrimshaw as well as anyone working at that time. As many of our long time collectors realize, Knight created our logo. He was a good friend and talented artist who left us way too early. There is a slight check on the back of the knife which has been repaired. No stand or sheath with this one. Never used, in mint condition. Tapered tang and ivory scales.
