“Cameo 1908” antique scrimshaw by unknown artist from the early 20th Century. Seated woman resting her left arm on a table. Full length portrait of a boy on the reverse. Slight chip on the right base. This is from the collection of one of our clients who is no longer with us. The collector made the handsome base for the piece. Excellent condition, no checks or cracks. Very heavy tooth, by the way (447 grams!).  NOTICE:This scrimshaw is done on a sperm whale’s tooth.
